In the fall of 1984, our family started a small business, the Columbia Diner, in the center of Hudson, New York to follow our dreams of being restaurant owners. Over twenty years later and two generations strong, we continue to grow our trusted service. We love serving our valued customers and we look forward to serving you for many years to come. |

Without Dennis, none of this would be possible. He is the one that started everything and whose dream and lead we all follow! Since 1971, the year he came to the US, he started working as a dishwasher and busboy at the Diners of Long Island, eventually progressing to a server and manager! In 1984 he decided to open his own restaurant and the rest is history! His motto for a successful business is the 3-point basis of a clean establishment, great service and good food.

Mama Pilarinos keeps us all running! Let's be honest, nothing would get done without her. Our beloved mother and grandmother, she showed interest in cooking and service from her early days growing up in Greece. We use her original recipes for our moussaka, spanakopita and baklava on all our restaurants. Next time you hear she's there...tell her thank you!

Bob is a graduate of Manhattan College with a degree in Finance. He's been working in the restaurant business since he was 13 years old (wow!) and after graduating college has taken an active role in managing the business. Let's just say he knows a thing or two about the restaurant industry! Bob is married to Alaina and they have three beautiful, sassy children. Anastasia (who contributed the "Anastasia Pancakes" to our menu!), Ari and Dino.

Tina has a degree in Fashion Merchandising and pursued her career in the fashion industry for over ten years while living in Manhattan. She was born and raised in the Capital District Region and, lucky for us, decided to move back home and contribute her talents to the family business. Tina is married to Sakis, also part of PHG. She has two amazing children.

After spending eight years in the banking industry, Sakis decided to share his knowledge with the restaurant industry. He holds a B.S. in Finance and an MBA in Financial Management from Pace University. His outgoing and welcoming personality are the perfect match for our group. In his free time he likes to watch soccer, travel, and spoil his two kids, like crazy.
